Working towards interactive audio!

Hello friends!
Though I've been focusing intently on graduate school applications, I have not forgotten about this project. A big part of my vision for the final version of Sappho 94 is music that is reactive to your actions and choices as your progress. I've been working with a couple friends to create music for this, and we've been drawing heavy inspiration from research on ancient Greek music.
In Sappho 94, one of the main features is being able to transition at any point from the ancient text to the modern text, and back. Apart from just differentiating the texts by language and font, I want to have the music change seamlessly with the transition in order to show the differences in the eras. To that end, the music we're creating will have tracks that are more modern in their interpretation as well as more traditionally Greek.

The difficulty now, and my current main project, is how to allow apparently seamless musical transitions in twine, a platform that is by its very nature not seamless. I've made some progress on that front, and will be showing off the progress with another small game I'm releasing in the next week or so.

In the meantime, I've attached an audio file of the first little musical tidbit that we recorded, a short flute piece that uses the sapphic meter as its rhythmic pattern!

Thanks for reading, I hope you have a fantastic day!
